Promoting Excellence in the Wylie Independent School District
Don’t Miss The 2026 Winter Lightfest Santa Fun Run on Wednesday, Dec. 2, through the United Way’s display of more than 3,000,000 lights. You can run or walk the nearly three mile course. It’s a great time!
The annual fundraising dinner is scheduled for Friday, April 9, 2027. Mark your calendars now. We aren’t sure yet who the band will be, but one thing is certain: we will have great food, superb entertainment and so much fun!
We awarded 27 scholarships to graduating seniors in May. What an amazing group of students. We are so proud of them and look forward to seeing the amazing things they accomplish in the future.
Thank you to everyone who made our annual dinner a huge success. The Great Divide was awesome, and Wylie inducted two new members into the Hall of Honor. Plus the food, dancing and fellowship were great. Check out the pictures below. Look for next year’s dinner coming Spring 2027!

Abilene Gives on May 5 was an amazing day. We raised more than $26,000 for teacher grants. We appreciate all who participated. Click below to see how teachers use grants.
We Had A Blast
The 2025 Santa Fun Run was a huge success. We had another perfect night for running and walking through a beautiful display of lights. The money raised supports the Foundation and the United Way!
Each year in August, the WBEF teams up with Hendrick Medical Center to host a luncheon welcoming Wylie’s new teachers for the upcoming school year.. Each new teacher is treated to lunch compliments of Hendrick and presented a $100 gift card from WBEF to help them set up their classrooms and purchase needed classroom supplies.
Mark your calendar for these events and important deadlines for the 2025-2026 school year.
